Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), the nation’s largest consumer co-op, engaged BYT extensively in 2016 as a key partner in their United Outside Campaign and East Coast Flagship store opening. The nearly year-long project included a number of BYT-produced events such as the #UnitedOutside launch party at the National Museum of American History, the beef jerky celebration Jerky Fest, and the Wild Kitchen outdoor dinner series supporting conservation partners. Along with events, BYT created weekly original digital and social media content for the United Outside blog and assisted with PR, marketing and influencer strategies. This all culminated in a massive six-day opening celebration at the new store, see some of the many many photos here. BYT is in talks with REI to continue with even more projects in 2017.
