FotoWeekDC

Total Attendance: 20,000+

Last Event: November 11, 2016

Starting in 2014, BYT took over the curating and production of FotoWeekDC, the annual city-wide photography celebration in DC with over one hundred cultural partners. Hosting a week long pop-up gallery and educational space at the Former Spanish Ambassador’s Residence in Columbia Heights, with an opening reception attended by 800 people, was just the tip of the programming iceberg. BYT has also produced FotoBazaar, a weekend long gallery in NoMa where regional photographers could showcase their work in an uncurated and unbiased environment, and launched FotoFilm, a new, much buzzed about addition to the festival. With a vast network of partners, BYT also showcased and assisted with events at D.C. venues and organizations like the Goethe Institut, The White House Photographers Association, National Gallery of Art, The Holocaust Museum, Phillips Collection, and scores more. In 2016 BYT brought FotoWeekCentral to the prestigious National Geographic Museum for record-breaking attendance numbers.
